Josephine Murrell Beasley, 81, of Versailles, widow of the Rev. William C. Beasley, died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, at her home. Born in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Sr. and Naomi Ruth Brooks Murrell. She was a devoted pastor’s wife, and member of the Total Grace Baptist Church in Lexington. Survivors include four daughters, Joyce (Lonnie) Winn, Lexington, and Sara (Garnett) Gray, Jo Ann Beasley Brown, and Sandra Beasley Lewis, all of Versailles; three sisters, Helen Blair, Zion Hill, Eunice (Robert) Hamilton, Bracktown, and Jane (Donald) Roberts, Zion Hill; a brother, Joseph (Patricia) Murrell, Versailles; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Two grandchildren, Sheri Hand and Lonnie Winn Jr.; two sisters, Eugenia Banks and Connie Hamilton; and a brother, Sidney Murrell, are deceased. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at the Total Grace Baptist Church, 1313 North Limestone St., Lexington. Services will follow visitation at the church with the Rev. Michael Robinson officiating. Committal and burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens in Paris. Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
