Lakeshore buys Midway Station property

Lakeshore Learning Materials purchased 41.981 acres for its planned 500,000 square-foot distribution center from the Woodford Economic Development Authority for $2.099 million, according to an Oct. 18 deed filed in the Woodford County clerk's office. The California-based company sells educational products and anticipates hiring 262 fulltime workers at its Midway Station location: 547 McKinney Avenue, located north of Midway's I-64 interchange.
