William O. Sutherland, 82, a former carpenter for A.J. Adkins Construction, died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016. Born in Millville, he was the son of the late William G. and Mary Jane Harris Sutherland. Survivors include two daughters, Deedre "DeeDee" Sampson, Michigan, and Billie Jo "JoJo" Kavanaugh, Canada; a son, Chad Robert Sutherland (Viola), Newman, Ga.; three sisters, Patsy Wheeler, Florida, Sharon Ann Sutherland, Chicago, Ill., and Jane Carolyn Linske (Don), Michigan; and a brother, Donnie Lee Sutherland (Dorothy), Michigan. A brother, James Wayne Sutherland, and three sisters, Lois Gayle Ueltschi, Frieda Mae Dickson, and Mary Louise Wiez, are deceased. Services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home by the Rev. Jeff Douglas. Burial was in the Versailles Cemetery.
