Police Reports Versailles police responded to one injury accident and five non-injury accidents. On Nov. 16 at 7:12 p.m., a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Myron D. Justice, 62, of Georgetown, was attempting to turn left from Lexington Street onto the U.S. 60 Bypass while a Toyota Camry, driven by Crystal A. Grice, 35, of 132 Dan Drive, was westbound on Lexington Road in the left lane. Police say Justice failed to yield, turned in front of Grice and caused a collision. Grice and her passenger, Wesley Grice, 32, of the same address, were taken to UK Chandler Hospital. Justice was taken to Baptist Hospital. Fire Reports City Firefighters performed 19 EMS assists and installed a child safety seat and two smoke detectors during the past week. Firefighters responded to vehicle accidents on Marsailles Road at Lexington Road and on Lexington Road at Market Place Nov. 15. A smoke odor was investigated on Macey Avenue Nov. 17. A small fire at the OSRAM Sylvania glass plant was out on the arrival of firefighters Nov. 17. County Firefighters performed two EMS assists during the past week. Firefighters responded to vehicle accidents on Leestown Road Nov. 15, on Delaney Ferry Road Nov. 16, and on Troy Pike Nov. 18. Firefighters assisted with retrieving two calves from a sinkhole on Mitchell Lane Nov. 17. One of the calves was alive and one had died. A dumpster fire was extinguished on Pinckard Pike Nov. 19. An alarm malfunctioned at Woodford Reserve Distillery Nov. 20. Due to the dry conditions, Woodford County Judge-Executive John Coyle has signed an order banning outdoor burning for the time being.
