Redding

Jack L. Redding, 77, of Versailles, husband of Barbara Jo Redding, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, in Lexington. The son of the late Beatrice Heaton and W. C. Redding Jr., he was a member of the Versailles First Christian Church. He served four years in the U.S. Navy. In addition to his wife of 43 years, he is survived by a daughter, Amy Patterson (James), Versailles; a son, Clayton Redding (Erin Murphy), Silver Spring, Md.; four grandchildren, Jordan Hugh Patterson, Addie Leigh Patterson, Leah Donovan Redding, and Liam Clayton Redding; three siblings, Shirley Ann Robinson, Louisville, Ronald Clayton Redding (Barbara Ann), Pelham, Ala., and Natalie Diane Bland, Bagdad; and numerous nieces and nephews. A brother, Richard Allen Redding, is deceased. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Shannon Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the Woodford Humane Society, P. O. Box 44, Versailles, KY 40383.
