Midway U. seeks permit for baseball field

Midway University has applied for a conditional-use permit in order to have a baseball field. The Board of Adjustment has scheduled a hearing on that request during its regular meeting on Monday, Dec. 5. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in the second-floor courtroom of the Woodford County Courthouse. Three other hearings on requests for conditional-use permits are also on the agenda. Nicola Louise Hatfield wants to operate a bed and breakfast/inn with two guest rooms at 409 Newton Street in Midway. John Davis wants to amend an existing conditional-use permit in order to expand the operating hours of a private campground at 5486 Cummins Ferry Road to year-round. Linda McDonald wants to place a mobile home on an existing lot of less than five acres at 175 Sellers Mill Road, which is zoned for agricultural (A-1) uses.
