Holiday closings and special hours

The following businesses and government offices announce closings or special hours in observance of the New Year's holiday. The Woodford Sun will be closed Monday, Jan. 2, and reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3. The deadline for all news and advertising for the Thursday, Jan. 5, issue will be noon Friday, Dec. 30. The Versailles Municipal Building, Midway City Hall and Woodford County Courthouse and Annex will be closed Friday, Dec. 30, and Monday, Jan. 2. Garbage and recycling pick-up schedules for customers of Central Kentucky Hauling and Rumpke customers will be unaffected. On Dec. 30 and New Year's Eve, the Falling Springs Arts and Recreation Center offices will be closed. On New Year's Eve, the center will close at 5 p.m. On New Year's Day, the offices and center will be closed. On Jan. 2, the offices will be closed, but the center will be open. The Versailles Post Office will be closed Jan. 2. The Woodford County Library's Versailles and Midway branches will be closed on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. The Cornerstone Pharmacy and Compounding Laboratory will be closed New Year's Day and Jan. 2. On New Year's Eve, CVS pharmacy and pharmacy will be open regular hours and on New Year's Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Railroad Drug and Old Time Soda Fountain in Midway will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on New Year's Eve and closed New Year's Day. The Woodford County Health Department will be closed Dec. 30, New Year's Day and Jan 2. On New Year's Day, the Kmart store will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., but the pharmacy will be closed. The Kroger store will close at 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve and reopen the following day at 6 a.m., while the pharmacy will close at 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve and be open on New Year's Day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Versailles Independent Pharmacy will be open from 9 a.m. to noon New Year's Eve, but will be closed on New Year's Day. Save A Lot grocery will be open regular hours on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
