Chamber elects officers for 2017

The Woodford County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has elected the following individuals to serve as officers for Woodford County Chamber of Commerce for 2017.

Bob Gibson, chairman of the board of directors: Gibson is a lifelong resident of Woodford County who graduated from Woodford County High School in 1988 and Centre College in 1993. He is working in his 23rd year in education with all but two years for the Woodford County Public School system. Currently, Gibson is serving as CIO (Chief Information Officer) for Woodford County Schools and has also served as teacher, coach, athletic director, and assistant principal. His family includes his wife, Elizabeth Gibson; his stepson, Parker Caufield; and his granddaughter, Chloe Caufield.

Sherry Williams, vice-chairman of the board of directors: Williams is the founder of Rage to Win, LLC, dba Lady Oscar, an industrial chic event venue in the heart of downtown Versailles on Main Street. She is also an award-winning HQ sales representative for the U.S. Postal Service. Williams studied elementary education and music at EKU, where she graduated with a bachelor of science degree. She is the chairman of the Woodford County Women in Business Committee, an active member of the Versailles Fourth of July Committee and the Versailles Christmas Committee, and an active member of the First Christian Church of Versailles. She is a single mother with a 14-year old-daughter, Emilyn. In her free time, she enjoys philanthropy work in Woodford County, weight lifting, and dirt track races.

Rebecca Burkich Baldwin, treasurer of the chamber of commerce: Baldwin is a life-long resident of Versailles. She attended Woodford County High School and graduated from Georgetown College. Upon completing her education, she began a career in banking. Today, Rebecca is employed by Peoples Exchange Bank as a retail lender, focusing mainly on residential mortgages.

Baldwin is also active in several groups in Woodford County. She is a member of the Kiwanis Club, Women in Business, Woodford County Young Professionals, and is a member of the board of directors for the Woodford County Chamber of Commerce, and will also be serving as treasurer for 2017.
