Wallin


Mildred “Jay” Bach Wallin, 92, of Georgetown, widow of Carl F. Wallin, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017. Born Aug. 30, 1924, in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Vernon T. Sr. and Rosa Mae Adams Bach. She was a lifelong member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Versailles, was a member of the DAR, the Midway Woman’s Club, and a charter member of Lafayette High School Revelers. She was a master gardener, historian and enjoyed traveling. Survivors include two daughters, Caroline (Ronald) Hutchison, Georgetown, and Marilyn (Larry) Hyatt, Lexington; three sons, Richard (Amanda) Wallin, Georgetown, Carl Lynn (Shelly) Wallin, Farmland, Ind., and Bill Wallin, Oklahoma City, Okla.; three sisters, Lorena Browning, Lexington, Allene (Bill) Fletcher, Lexington, and Linda Bach, Lexington; a brother, David Bach, Lexington; a brother in-law, Dr. Bill Allen, Evansville, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Amy (Stephen) Guill, Aaron (Amanda) Hutchison, Brad (Sheri) Hyatt, Brian (Lesley) Hyatt, Katelyn (Connor) Lloyd, Emelie and Mathew Wallin; 12 great-grandchildren, Ryan and Aiden Hutchison, Coleman Guill, London, Dodge, Maverick, Benjamin, Clay, Lauren and Lindsey Hyatt, Aeribelle and Emberelle Lloyd; and many extended family members. Two great-grandchildren, Jackson Hyatt and Grayson Lloyd, her grandmother, Winnie “Aunt Winnie” Adams, a sister, Elva Allen, and a brother, Vernon Bach Jr., are deceased. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Milward-Southland, Lexington. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Midway Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Versailles or the Lafayette High School Alumni. Guestbook at www.milwardfuneral.com. Schulman Gershon Schulman, of Versailles, 107, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, Jan. 6, 2017. He was a wonderful man who led a wonderful life and all who knew him were fortunate indeed. Clover Bottom Baptist

While keeping with the current CDC guidelines, Clover Bottom Baptist has returned to all in-person services. The current Sunday schedule includes morning worship at 11 and an evening service at 6. We
