Kenneth J. Watson, 59, of Versailles, husband of Carol Clark Watson, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at the Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
Born Feb. 15, 1957, in Duluth, Ga., he was the son of the late James Ivan and Merriam Bertie Fuller Watson. He was a member of The Carpenters Christian Church and a consultant and information technologist for Ascension Health. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Brandon (Ashley) Watson, Colleyville, Texas; four daughters, Tiffany (Tracy) Jones, Paris, Brianna (Mike) Greenlee, Paris, Alyssa (Voltaire) Pearce, Vero Beach, Fla., and Britni (Josh) Pitts, Paris; a stepson, Travis Bryant, Lexington; two stepdaughters, Terra (David) Monroe and Tessa (Caleb) Joye, both of Texas; 16 grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. A sister, Janice Cook, is deceased.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 9, at The Carpenters Christian Church by Greg Warren. Burial will be in Rose Crest Cemetery in Versailles. Casket bearers will be Mike Anderson, Tim Humphries, Tim Reed, Mike Greenlee, Josh Pitts, Bernie Utterback, Don Thompson and Perry Dressler.
Visitation will be held after 9 a.m. Thursday at the church.
