Public forum set for input on school facilities plan
A committee of parents, teachers and other community members is scheduled to meet at Southside Elementary School on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at 5 p.m., to continue its work on a new facilities plan for Woodford County Public Schools. A public forum seeking additional input on a facilities plan begins at 5:45 p.m. On Jan. 13, the Local Planning Committee toured the school facilities in the district. Members received information on the square-footage of school buildings and student capacities. The district's current facilities plan was approved in May 2013 and identified a new high school as the top facility need. Kentucky school districts are required to approve a facilities plan every four years.
