Carl "Cecil"Buffin, 76, of Versailles, widower of Barbara Sigg Buffin, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at his home. Born in Jessamine County, he was the son of the late Albert C. Buffin and Elizabeth Shields Davis. He was a retired Independent trucker and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Lexington. Survivors include three daughters, Jennifer Seebold (Joe), Karla Ann Buffin, and Marsha Buffin; three sisters, Betty Shuck, Patsy Lubbers, and Susan Davis; a brother, Raymond Buffin; and five grandchildren, Kristin Tetrick, Brandon Sharp, Claire Seebold, Jack Seebold, and Sam Seebold. His stepmother, Dorothy Buffin, is deceased. Services were conducted Monday, Feb. 27, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Burial followed in Rose Crest Cemetery. Casket bearers were Dr. David C. Smith, Kenny Seebold, David Seebold, John Seebold, David Tetrick, and Travis Simpson. Honorary bearer was Kristin Tetrick. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of The Bluegrass.
