Harold Jones, 95, of Versailles, husband of Mary Rue Jones, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Born April 17, 1921, in Scott County, he was the son of the late John Everett and Lola May Curtis Jones. He worked for the old City of Lexington for 26 years in the Streets and Roads Department. In addition to his wife of 74 years, he is survived by two sons, Harold and Robert; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann; a granddaughter, Juliann (Randy); a great-granddaughter, Madison; and a sister, Evelyn Baldwin. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, March 2, at the Lexington Cemetery.
