Cecil Doyle Atwood, 72, died Thursday, March 9, 2017. Born June 7, 1944, in Casey County, he was the son of Atha Atwood and the late Doyle D. Atwood. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during Vietnam War. In addition to his mother, he is survived by three children, Anthony "Tony" Atwood, Lexington, Alison Kinder, Versailles, and Aaron Atwood, Versailles; five brothers, Garnett Atwood, Somerset, David Atwood, California, Jerry Atwood, Midway, Larry Atwood, Pennsylvania, and George Atwood, Versailles; and four grandchildren, Justin Kinder, Jay Kinder, Jesse Kinder, and Affinity Atwood. A celebration of life was held Tuesday, March 14, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort.
