Frenchie F. Carter, 64, of Versailles, died Sunday, March 12, 2017. Born Sept. 8, 1952, in Versailles, she was the daughter of Bernice Dobbins and the late Warren Carter. She was a cook at Woodford Hospital and an employee at Kmart. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a firm believer in God. In addition to her mother, she is survived by two children, Charmayne Carter, Versailles, and Clinton (Theresa) Carter, Nicholasville; and her granddaughter and goddaughter, June AnnaMarie Carter. Her stepfather, James B. "Jake" Dobbins, is deceased. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Thursday, March 16, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, by Pastor David Brannen. Burial will follow in Rose Crest Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Marshall Hood, Marcus Taylor, Anthony Dodson, and Marlin Thompson. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
