Stacy Regina Sams Johnson, 47, of Frankfort, formerly of Versailles, wife of Jason Johnson, died Friday, March 10, 2017, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center following complications of breast cancer. Born Dec. 9, 1969, in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Nancy Rowe Sams. She was a 1987 graduate of Woodford County High School. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jared Thomas Johnson and Gavin Patric Johnson, both of Frankfort; a grandson, Ryker Scott Johnson; and three brothers, Tony (Sandra) Sams, Frankfort, and Wendell Sams and Danny (Vicki) Sams, both of Harrodsburg. A Service of Remembrance was conducted Monday, March 13, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Memorials are encouraged to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 207 N. Upper St., Suite "D," Lexington, KY 40507.
