Dorothy Bailey Ellis, 75, of Versailles, died Friday, March 17, 2017. Born March 11, 1942, in Bramer, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Orville Bailey and Mary Hortensteine. She worked with social services for Bluegrass Community Action Agency, was a member of Versailles Presbyterian Church and a previous member of Versailles Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, James D. (Kimberly) Ellis, Fla., and Michael T. (Cindy) Ellis, Taylorsville; a sister Virginia Bailey, Nevada; and three grandchildren, Kennedy Ellis, Justin Ellis, and Emma Ellis. A celebration of life was held Tuesday, March 21, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort, officiated by the Rev. Keith Benze. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bluegrass Care Navigators.
