Stella Imogene Brown Wilson, 99, of Frankfort, widow of Sanford Wilson, died Sunday March 26, 2017, at her home with family. Born Oct. 2, 1917, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Coleman and Maud Wheeler Brown. She was a member of Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church. Survivors include four children, Edith Tandy, Martha (Buddy) Woolums, Carol (Rick) Payton, and Clifford (Judy) Wilson; 21 grandchildren; several great- and great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren. Two grandchildren, David Gravitt and Betty Lynn Wilson, and a great-grandchild, Cindy Clifton Watts, are deceased. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, March 30, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort, by the Rev. Todd Lester. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers will be Sandy, Mark and Dow Wilson, Gary Tandy, Tommy Hockensmith and Darian Payton. Honorary bearers will be all of Stella's grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church and Hospice of the Bluegrass.
