Carl B. Chipley, 84, husband of Georgia Chipley, died Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Born Nov. 15, 1932, in Harrison County, he was the son of the late Thomas and Lucille King Chipley. He was an Army veteran who served in the Korean War, worked as a car salesman, and was a member of Revival Tabernacle. In addition to his wife, he is survived by eight children, Yolanda (Felix) Wood, Stephen (Phyllis) Chipley, Jeff (Marsha) Chipley, Kolanda Johnson, Kevin Chipley (fiancée Geneva), Tammy Richie, Donna Caldwell, and Laura Nickens; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Graveside services were conducted Monday, April 3, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hope Spay and Neuter Clinic in Versailles.
