Sheila G. Maggard, 74, of Frankfort, widow of Paul Maggard, died Saturday, April 8, 2017. Born Sept. 22, 1942, in Floyd County, she was the daughter of the late Crit Gearheart and Phoebe Bradley Gearheart. She was retired from the Kentucky State Government, and attended First United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Jeff (Emily) Maggard, Lawrenceburg, and Chris Maggard, Versailles; three sisters, June Ducote, Alabama, Joyce Maca, Alabama, and Lois Gayheart, Versailles; three brothers, Bobby Gayheart, Knott County, Paul Gayheart, Lexington, and Larry Gayheart, Versailles; a grandson, William Nelson Maggard; and a special nephew, Ralph Gayheart. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, April 14, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort, by the Rev. Jack Brewer. Casket bearers will be William Maggard, Ralph Gayheart, Jason Gayheart, Brad Gayheart, and Todd Maggard. Honorary bearer will be Andrew Gayheart. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. today, Thursday, April 13, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Building Fund.
