Thomas B. Foley, 78, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at his home in Versailles. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the VFW, and a Kentucky Colonel. Tom was retired from Trane as a welder after 32 years of employment. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Emma. Tom is survived by his two sisters, Carolyn Deeringer and Vicki (Harold) Robinson, both of Lexington; six children, Tom (Marrianna) Perry, Louisville, Donna Perry (J.R.) Napier, Lexington, Stephanie Henry, Arkansas, and Kimberly Foley Fowler, Steven Foley, and Marietha Gayle (Pat) Rayome, all three of Lexington; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; his companion of 43 years, Dr. R.E. Wells, Versailles; and beloved pets: his dog, Gabby, and cat, Ling. Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 15, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Jordan Fowler, David Gentry, Buddy Stone, Keith Stone, Jamie Wright, Augustus Rayome, Doug Stone, Buddy Coomer, and Aubrey Fryman. Honorary pallbearer was Jason Hardy. Burial and military honors followed at the Lexington Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Woodford Humane Society or Kentucky-Southeast Indiana Multiple Sclerosis Society.
