Charles "Chuck" Goins, 89, of Versailles, widower of Lila Goins, died Sunday, April 16, 2017. Born May 30, 1927, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Tom and Edna Goins. He was a sewing machine mechanic for Irvin Industries. Survivors include two children, Tommy (Linda) Goins and Phyllis (Skip) Sherwood, both of Versailles; two sisters, Nellie Donnell and Virgie Shuck, both of Versailles; five grandchildren, Belinda Strode, Rhonda Tribble, Christy Chilton, Kevin Cosby and Terry Alan; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Two brothers, T.J. Goins and Edward Goins; a grandson, Charles T. Goins Jr.; and a great-granddaughter are deceased. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. today, Thursday April 20, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, by Bro. Kenny Robinson and Tommy Tribble. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers will be Kevin Cosby, Doug Chilton, Chris Strode, Joshua Tribble, Jacob Tribble and Thomas Tribble. Contributions may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators.
