Shelia K. Maples, 73, of Lexington, widow of Winfield Maples, died Thursday, April 13, 2017. Born Aug. 4, 1943, in Versailles, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Margaret Clift Kirk. She was a store manager for Hallmark. Survivors include three daughters, Zova M. (Marty) Rothchild, Jennifer (Barry) Collins, and Karen Maples, all of Lexington; and five grandchildren, Clara and Margaret Rothchild, and Spence, Grace and Caroline Collins. A son, Winfield Maples Jr., is deceased. Graveside services were conducted Monday, April 17, at the Versailles Cemetery by the Rev. Monte Wilkinson. Casket bearers were Barry Collins, Spencer Collins, Sam Maples and Mark Pennington. Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods, Nicholasville.
