Art in The Park Artist Spotlight

Tracee Dorn Carmichael of Dorn Creative Glass aspires to generate happiness and joy through bold color, texture, and well, being different. While offering standard stained glass foiled panels, most of her glass work may incorporate recycled glass, beads, wire, brass rods, copper poles and a whole lot of imagination. Most of her whimsical work is cut from her own drawings and is one-of-a-kind, not to be duplicated exactly again. Tracee's inspiration comes from events, nature, animals and the three cats that rescued her family. Retired as a city police officer and soon-to be empty-nester, she is now branching out from a hobbyist to local art shows. Dorn Creative Glass participated in several major events in Cincinnati last year. Tracee, who is moving to Kentucky this summer, will be at Art in The Park this year. Art in The Park will be held Friday, May 26, from 6 to 9 p.m. (during the block party), and May 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the lawn of the Woodford Inn.
