Raymond L. Johnson, 73, of Versailles, husband of Barbara Johnson, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017, after a brief illness. Born in 1943 in Youngstown, Ohio, he was the son of the late John Adam and Irene Smith Johnson. He worked as a clinical social worker at the University of Kentucky until his illness prevented him from doing so. In addition to his wife, his is survived by three children, Judy Johnson, Washington, D.C., and Lora Johnson and Erin Vance (Greg), both of Ohio; three grandchildren, Leeann, Drue, and Megan; a sister, Karen Matune (Tom), Ohio; a brother, Ron Johnson (Diane), Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Jack Johnson (Dorothy), Ohio, is deceased. At his request, no services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators and the Markey Cancer Center, Research Program.
