Possession of drug paraphernalia - Jeremy Leanhart, Frankfort, $260.50. Criminal attempt to tamper with physical evidence - James W. Tipton, 125 Chestnut Street, combined with possession of drug paraphernalia, $310.50. Police Reports Versailles police responded to four injury accidents, 26 non-injury wrecks, one domestic-related complaint, made two arrests and issued two citations/summonses. On April 13 at 1:57 p.m., a Nissan Pathfinder driven by Monica M. Martinez, 42, of 206 Curry Court, was eastbound on Lexington Road and entered the center turn lane while a Toyota 4-Runner driven by Brandi N. Hunter, 27, of 406 Ryne Court, was westbound on Lexington Road. Martinez crossed into the oncoming lane and her vehicle side-swiped Hunter's, then turned onto Belleview Drive and stopped. Hunter's vehicle entered a parking lot at 404 Lexington Road and struck a Chevrolet Tahoe owned by Charles Wiley, 68, of Nicholasville, who was not in the car. Hunter's vehicle then hit the front wall of a building. Hunter and a passenger, Jeffery A. Meyer, 35, of the same address, were taken to UK Chandler Hospital. Police say inattention and not being under proper control on the part of Martinez caused the wreck. On April 14 at 7:28 a.m., a Toyota Camry driven by Yesenia Cordova, 33, of Georgetown, was westbound on the U.S. 60 Bypass. A Toyota Tacoma driven by Ryan C. Kessler, 28, of 450 Shotwell Lane, was heading north on Douglas Avenue to Big Sink Road and the vehicles collided in the intersection. A witness said Cordova ran a red light. She was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital. Police say disregarding the light and inattention on the part of Cordova caused the wreck. Police say Kessler was driving on a suspended license. On April 22 at 3:11 p.m., Benjamin R. Hagan, 20, of Lexington, was driving a Toyota Camry south on Pinckard Pike. He told police he lost control on the wet road and struck a tree. He was taken to UK Chandler Hospital by his father. Police say his vehicle was not under proper control. On April 23 at 3 p.m., a Nissan Versa driven by Konnette Ritter, 68, of 519 South Winter Street, was traveling on Midway Road attempting a left turn into Midway School Apartments while a Kia Optima driven by Tayler N. Johnson, 20, of Sacramento, Calif. was traveling in the opposite direction. Ritter said Johnson was traveling fast and that she had her turn signal on when her vehicle was struck by Johnson's. Johnson said Ritter turned into her path, and a witness supported Johnson's story. Ritter was taken to the Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Police say she made an improper turn. Johnson was cited for having no registration plates and failure to maintain insurance. On April 13, a Lexington Road bank reported receiving five forged checks. On April 20, a citation/summons was issued for the shoplifting of $49 worth of fish and makeup at Kroger. On April 20, an arrest was made at Dollar General for the shoplifting of $6 worth of beer. On April 20, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on I-64. On April 21, an arrest was made at the Woodford County Detention Center for promoting contraband and the possession of cocaine and methamphetamine. On April 21, a television worth $300 was reported stolen from a home on Macey Avenue. On April 21, three battery bundles worth $1,125 were reported stolen from a vehicle on Fielding Drive. On April 22, a Dodge Avenger was reported vandalized on Highview Drive, with damage estimated at $200. On April 20, a gas can and gasoline worth a total of $35 were reported stolen from a home on Gleneagles Way. On April 20, $12 worth of beer was reported shoplifted from a Lexington Street convenience store. On April 23, an iPad Mini worth $429.99 was reported stolen from a home on Red Wing Court. On April 23, a citation/summons was issued on Fintville Road for possession of marijuana. On April 10, a two-way radio worth $400 was reported stolen from a vehicle belonging to the Woodford County Coroner's office. On April 14, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on Lillards Ferry Road. On April 17, $90 in cash was reported stolen at the Circle K on Yellow Jacket Drive. On April 18, an Xbox 1 and other items worth a total of $679.99 were reported stolen from a home on Queensway Drive. On April 15, the registration decal of a license plate was reported stolen from a vehicle on Georgetown Road in Midway. On April 18, $100 in cash was reported stolen on Old Frankfort Pike. On April 18, six tires were reported vandalized on Dogwood Court, with an unknown amount of damage. On April 7, a video game system was vandalized and $100 in cash reported stolen from a home on Molly Street. On April 18, tools, a generator and other items worth a total of $2,997 were reported stolen from a construction site on Big Sink Road. Fire Reports City Firefighters performed 13 EMS assists during the past week. An alarm on Main Street April 18 turned out to be false. Firefighters responded to an alarm at Quad Graphics on the U.S. 60 Bypass April 23. Firefighters responded to a vehicle accident on High Street April 24. County Firefighters performed four EMS assists during the past week. Animal Control Woodford County Animal Control (879-0598) is holding a stray female black short-haired cat. Animal Control holds stray pets for five days.
