Jerry J. Tabor, 87, of Versailles, husband of Linda Routt Tabor, died Friday, May 5, 2017. Born July 3, 1929, in Bowling Green, he was the son of the late Henry Earl and Selma Eve White Tabor. He was an insurance agent for Equitable Life Assurance Society. He was also a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War, and a member of Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Alison Rae Patton-Goedde, Louisville; a son, Scott Allyn Tabor, Louisville; two stepdaughters, Tamara Carson, Texas, and Heather Hensley, Versailles; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson. A granddaughter, Jessalyn Tabor, is deceased. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 5 p.m. today, Thursday, May 11, at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church by the Rev. Todd Lester. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the fellowship hall until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church Building Fund.
