Gary "Sky Walker" Fritts, 59, of Lawrenceburg, died Sunday, May 21, 2017, at his home. Born Sept. 6, 1957, in Carlisle, he was the son of Roy L. Fritts and the late Ethel Mae Conkright Fritts. He lived the majority of his life in Lawrenceburg, but he also lived in Versailles for a part of his life. Early in his life, his occupation was with horses. He was responsible for taking a wild yearling Thoroughbred and breaking them to ride and race. Then his life led him into the printing business, where his job was running a four-color press for the Central Baptist Hospital. Most recently, he owned his own roofing and carpentry business. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and gun-smithing. In addition to his father, he is survived by a son, Daron Wayne Fritts (Stephanie); two stepdaughters, Brittany Pratt (Kyle) and Cortney Marie Sullivan (Seth Taylor); two brothers, Mike Fritts (Elaine) and Dwayne Fritts; two sisters, Brenda Riddell (Tony) and Debbie DeMoss (Ernie); and seven grandchildren, Caleb Pettit, Emma Pettit, Delilah Mae Fritts, Makinley Adams, Knox Pratt, Anniston Pratt and Taylor Hawkins. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, May 25, at the Saffell House Funeral Home, Lawrenceburg. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Saffell House Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
