District Court District court was not in session on Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day. Police Reports Versailles police responded to two accidents involving injuries, 25 non-injury wrecks, nine domestic-related complaints and made three arrests. On May 26 at 5:21 p.m., a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Stephanie L. McHugh, 25, of 190 Macey Boulevard, and a Volvo S-40 driven by William E. Lynch, 52, of 213 South Hill Drive, were headed east on Lexington Street. McHugh told police her shoe was slipping off and when she moved her foot to put it back on, she accelerated slightly, causing her vehicle to strike the Volvo in the rear. Lynch was out of his vehicle at the time. He was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital. Police say McHugh had no insurance and an expired driver's license. Lynch had a suspended operator's permit. Distraction and inattention on the part of McHugh were cited as reasons for the crash. On May 29 at 7:23 p.m., a Nissan Altima driven by Alexandria C. Foley, 17, of 5765 Tyrone Pike, was headed west on Rose Hill Avenue approaching Clifton Road. Foley told police she saw a red vehicle driving at an excessive speed approaching Rose Hill Avenue from Clifton Road that didn't stop at the stop sign. Rebekah L. Hall, 19, of 309 Carli Court, was driving a Volkswagen Jetta on Clifton Road toward Rose Hill Avenue. She told police she didn't stop at the sign and her vehicle struck Foley's. Both drivers were taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital. On May 30, a window of a Crossfield Road restaurant was reported vandalized, with damage estimated at $100. On May 30, an Ashby Court home was reported vandalized, with water damage estimated at $1,000. On May 29, harassment was reported at a Flint Ridge home. On June 3, police made an arrest on Rose Hill Avenue for DUI, disregarding a stop sign and possession of marijuana. On June 2, a wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle on Gormley Drive. On June 3, 3rd degree terroristic threatening was reported on Bryanwood Drive. On June 2, a license plate was reported stolen on Nancy Street. On May 26, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on McCracken Pike that caused $300 in damage to a plank fence. On June 1, harassment was reported on Wilson Avenue. On June 2, $500 in cash and an ID card were reported stolen from a vehicle on Wilson Avenue. On May 30, a windowpane door worth $300 was reported vandalized at a Tyrone Pike daycare facility. On May 30, $182 in fraudulent use of a credit card was reported at a Frankfort Street store. On May 30, parts worth $1,000 were reported stolen from a vehicle on Leestown Pike. On May 26, 2nd degree burglary was reported at a Leestown Pike home. On May 31, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on the U.S. 60 Bypass. On May 30, a rifle and other weapons worth a total of $9,270 were reported stolen from a home on Lanark Place. On June 1, a handgun worth $200 was reported stolen on Oregon Road. On May 25, a car stereo and cash worth a total of $620 were reported stolen from a vehicle on Lakeview Drive. On May 25, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on Troy Pike that caused $200 in damage to a plank fence and post. On May 22, harassment was reported on Frankfort Street. On May 27, copper downspouts worth $500 were reported stolen from a home on Rose Hill Avenue. On May 26, a Stihl weed-trimmer worth $317.95 was reported stolen on Moores Mill Road. On May 25, fraudulent use of a credit card was reported at Kroger. On May 28, $31 worth of liquor was reported stolen from Kroger. On May 21, copper downspouts worth $1,500 were reported stolen on Main Street. On May 14, criminal trespassing and vandalism involving mulch were reported at Northside Elementary. On May 26, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on McCracken Pike that caused $300 in damage to a plank fence. On May 29, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on Shannon Run Road. Fire Reports City Firefighters performed 25 EMS assists and installed one child safety seat during the past week. Firefighters responded to a vehicle accident on Lexington Road May 31. A natural gas odor was investigated on South Main Street June 1. The sprinkler system at Margaret Hall Manor sprang a leak on June 1. A trash fire was extinguished on Curry Court June 1. A smoke odor was investigated on Loy Street June 2. An alarm malfunctioned at McDonald's Restaurant June 5. County Firefighters performed two EMS assists during the past week. Firefighters responded to vehicle accidents on Lexington Road, on Fords Mill Road, and Shannon Run Road June 2, on the Blue Grass Parkway June 4, and on 1-64 June 5. Animal Control Woodford County Animal Control (859-0598) is holding the following stray cats: a female short-haired tortoiseshell with three yellow tabby kittens, a male short-haired gray tabby and white, and a female short-haired black tortoiseshell with six kittens. Animal Control holds stray pets for five days. A list of impounded animals may be found on the front door of the animal control building at 210 Beasley Road.
