Teachers who ‘make a difference’ named

Several Woodford County residents were recently honored by the University of Kentucky College of Education’s Teachers Who Made a Difference program. They are: Lisa Padgett (honored by Addison Warthman); Lisa Boone (honored by Lizzy Shryock); Melissa Hudson (honored by Maggie Shryock); Theresa Vanzant (honored by Eric Vanzant); Scarlett Wesley (honored by Kristina Rosen). The program provides an opportunity to thank a teacher, principal, professor, coach or other educator who has been inspirational. The UK College of Education has hosted the Teachers Who Made a Difference program for 19 years. UK College of Education Dean Mary John O’Hair presented the awards during a ceremony at Kroger Field on the UK campus.
