Kathy Marie Dotson Layne, 60, of Stanton, wife of Danny Ray Layne, died Friday June 9, 2017, at her home. Born in Williamson, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Julius N. and Margie Lee Brizendine Dotson. In addition to her husband of 45 years, she is survived by a daughter, Marcy (Timothy) Biliter; a son, Danny Keith (Marleana) Layne, Pike County; two sisters, Linda Stump and Lisa Smith, both of Pike County; seven grandchildren, Brittany (Adam) Layne, Aaron (Katie) Biliter, Hannah, Dalton, Parker, Karter and Delaney Layne; and four great-grandchildren, Brystol Biliter, Ava, Danni, and Baby Layne. Her infant twin sons, Shaun Ray and Danny Keith Layne; a brother, Jukey Dotson; and sister, Annie Layne are deceased. Services were conducted Monday, June 12, at Versailles Church of God by her brother-in-law, the Rev. Frank Layne. Burial followed in Rose Crest Cemetery. Casket bearers were Timothy Biliter, James Andy Dotson, Aaron Biliter, Dalton Keith Layne, Fred Layne, and Adam Layne. Memorial contributions are suggested to Versailles Church of God, PO Box 552, Versailles, KY, 40383.
