Robert Lewis Harley Sr., 80, of Lawrenceburg, husband of Janice Barnes Harley, died Monday, June 19, 2017, at his home. Born Nov. 29, 1936, in Anderson County, he was the son of the late William Taft Harley and Catherine Cornish Harley. A former resident of Versailles, he worked for Kuhlman Electric and Woodford Feed in Versailles. He was a graduate of Western High School in Anderson County, a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, and most recently attended the Lawrenceburg Community Baptist Church. He enjoyed being with his family and the outdoors. In addition to his wife of 58 years, he is survived by three children, Bobby Harley, Gary (Beth) Harley, and Lisa (Tim) Sebastian, all of Lawrenceburg; nine grandchildren, Jeremy Harley, Carey McDaniel, Nicole Harley, Jeffrey Harley, Michael Harley, Matthew Sebastian, Aaron Sebastian, Heather Goforth, and Logan Sebastian; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy (Velena) Harley, Lawrenceburg; and a sister, Shirley (Jim) Akers, Frankfort. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. today, Thursday, June 22, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, Lawrenceburg, by Bro. Steve Broughton. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers will be Jeremy, Jeffrey, and Michael Harley, Matthew and Aaron Sebastian, and Pete McDaniel. Honorary bearers will be Logan Sebastian, Nicole Harley, Carey McDaniel, and Heather Goforth.
