Shirley Rose, 79, of Frankfort, wife of Danny Rose, died Friday, June 16, 2017. A native of Woodford County, she was born Feb. 2, 1938, the daughter of the late Clay and Virginia Sorrell Troxell. She worked as a caregiver. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Teresa Buckner, Frankfort, Carla Thompson, Frankfort, Ann Kelly Thompson, Frankfort, and Mike Thompson, Frankfort; a brother, Clay Troxell, Frankfort; a grandson, Timothy "Mikey" Thompson, and several additional grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort. The family wishes that everyone would wear UK blue.
