Rosemary Cornell Lemke, 86, of Versailles, widow of Richard Lemke, died Thursday, June 22, 2017. Born April 2, 1931, in Queens, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late George and Catherine Welsch Cornell. She worked as a domestic engineer. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Gagnon, Versailles; two sons, James Lemke, New York, and Richard Lemke Jr., Nevada; five brothers, Andrew Cornell, New York, Clarence Cornell, Texas, Peter Cornell, Nevada, Bruce Cornell, New York, and Robert (Mary) Lemke, South Carolina; two additional sisters-in-law, Lynn Lemke, New York, and Nancy (Sal) Franco, Florida; eight grandchildren, Vanessa and Jesse James, Richard Lemke III, Andrew (Stephanie) Lemke, Kayla Lemke, James (Leslie) Sexton, Mercedes Bentley, and Kyle (Hannah) Gagnon; and 10 great-grandchildren, Wyatt Lemke, Payton Lemke, Lincoln James Sexton, Harper Lee Sexton, Lexie Grabowski, Hunter Osborne, Devlin Lemke, Kenley Gagnon, Avery and Gaberiella Bentley. Her mother-in-law and father in law, Gustav and Florence Lemke, two sisters, Charlotte "Jane" Blohm and Catherine Leckner, and eight brothers, Gustav Lemke, and George, Harry, Charles, James, Roger, Frederick, and William Cornell, are deceased. Private services were held.
