Bill Chowning, 79, of Versailles, died Monday, August 7, 2017. Born Nov. 8, 1937, in Owen County, he was the son of the late James and Ressie Mae Chowning. He was retired as the owner/operator of Central Kentucky Body Shop in Lexington and was a member of Revival Tabernacle. Survivors include four daughters, Donna Miller, Frankfort, Karen Isaacs, Loretto, Tish Preston, Frankfort, and Sherryl Wilson, Florence; his longtime companion, Connie Hunter; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort, by the Rev. Gary Ward. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers will be Eddie Miller Sr., Eddie Miller Jr., Mike Kelly, Phil Vogel, Kenneth Mitchell, and Bobby Miller. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today, on Thursday, Aug. 10, at Clark Legacy Center.
