Kenneth C. Lacefield Jr., 84, of Midway, husband of Dorothy Portwood Lacefield, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017. Born June 10, 1933, in Woodford County, he was the son of the late Lula Mays Hill and Kenneth C. Lacefield Sr. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and the Korean War. He was a part-time manager at Paul Miller Ford and was a member of the American Legion Post 8 for 54 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services were conducted Saturday, Aug. 5, at the Midway Cemetery. Casket bearers were Jimmy Woodrum, Rick Portwood, Eddie Wayne Portwood, Tom Arehart, David Rish, and David Penn. Memorial donations may be made to Midway Baptist Church.
