Alice C., Pease, 89, of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, at the St Joseph Hospital Hospice Care Center in Lexington. A native of Mishawaka, Ind., she was married to the late Robert Pease for 42 years, with whom she had four wonderful children. Alice was a member of Eastern Star, a Social Sorority, and the First United Methodist Church in Corbin, Kentucky, where she also served as the church secretary, later working for and then retiring from, the State of Kentucky Employment Services Department. In her spare time, Alice enjoyed crafting, knitting, and sunny skies. She is survived by her daughters, Kris (Mac) McDougall, Lexington, and Patti Pease, Lexington; daughter-in-law, Gay Pease, Versailles; a sister, Alma Grable, WA; two grandchildren, Christi (Greg) Gresham and Amy (Patrick) Redding; and four great-grandchildren, Nate Gresham, Zachary Gresham, Hayden Redding, and Jackson Redding. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pease; a daughter, Maryjo Pease; and a son, Tom Pease. The family wishes to thank Rose Manor, HCF and Bluegrass Care Navigators for the care and support that was given to Alice. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Bluegrass Care Navigators, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, KY 40504. (Paid obituary)
