Adriel M. Harrod Sr., 85, widower of Sue Harrod, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2017. Born Dec. 27, 1931, in Shelbyville, he was the son of the late William and Iola Kistner Harrod. He was a U.S. Army and U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Korean War. Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca D. Bowman, Frankfort; three sons, Adriel M. Harrod Jr., Frankfort, Gregory T. Harrod, Frankfort, and Jeffery T. Weber, Versailles; and six grandchildren, Abigail Weber, Devin Harrod, Jack Southerland, Jade Weber, Zeke Harrod, and Skyler Bowman. Services were conducted Monday, Aug. 28, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort, by Bill Hartung. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers were Jeff Harrod, Shaun Harrod, Willie Harrod, Jake Jones, Mark Girkey, and Greg Dempsey. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601.
