Labor Day closings, hours

The following businesses and government offices announce closings or special hours for Monday, Sept. 4, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. The Woodford Sun will be closed on Labor Day. Also, the deadline for all news items and paid advertising for the Sept. 7 issue is noon tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 1. Versailles and Midway city governments will be closed Monday. Legacy Carting pickup and Rumpke Sanitation pickup will operate on their regular schedules. The Woodford County Courthouse and Annex will close at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, and be closed Monday, Sept. 5. The Logan Helm Woodford County Library's main and Midway branches and the Woodford County Health Department will be closed Labor Day. The Woodford Humane Society adoption center will be closed Monday. The Versailles Post Office will be closed and there will be no mail delivery on Labor Day. The Cornerstone Pharmacy and Compounding Laboratory will be closed on Labor Day. The CVS pharmacy will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the store will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday. Kmart will be open for regular business hours, and the pharmacy will be closed. The Kroger pharmacy will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday. Railroad Drug and Old Time Soda Fountain in Midway will be closed All local banks and the Greater Kentucky Credit Union will be closed on Monday. Falling Springs Arts and Recreation Center and its outdoor pool will be open regular hours (weather permitting) on Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, the indoor facilities will be closed all day. The outdoor pool will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., weather permitting. The indoor pools will be closed from Sept. 4 to 25 for maintenance and resurfacing.
