Comprehensive Plan work session on Sept. 14

A committee will continue its review of Woodford County's Comprehensive Plan during a work session, scheduled for immediately after the Thursday, Sept. 14, meeting of the Versailles-Midway-Woodford County Planning and Zoning Commission. Committee Chair Patty Perry told the Planning Commission members working on an update of the Comprehensive Plan in August that the land-use chapter would be the focus of the September work session. During the Sept. 14 meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m. in the second-floor courtroom of the Woodford County Courthouse, three requests are scheduled to come before the full Planning Commission. A public hearing is scheduled on a preliminary/townhouse plat, which will allow Woodford Habitat for Humanity to construct a townhouse at 246-248 Martin Luther King Boulevard. A consolidation and minor amendment plat will allow two new residential lots to be created at the end of Cardinal Avenue (Bruce C. Lewis property). The proposed lots at 210 and 211 Cardinal Avenue are being located where a cul-de-sac, with multiple lots, was originally planned. A second amended final plat to replace a planned clubhouse with a two-unit condominium at 108 Rumsey Circle in the Helmsley II - The Shire neighborhood is also on the agenda.
