Police Reports Versailles police responded to one injury accident, six non-injury accidents, one domestic-related complaint and made three arrests. On Aug. 29 at 12:49 p.m., a Toyota Tacoma driven by Charles T. Mitchell, 25, of 3100 Spring Station Road, and a Toyota Camry driven by Michael W. Murray Jr., 33, of 115 Walnut Street, were driving north on Leestown Road. Meanwhile, a Volvo VHD driven by Peggy A. Moore, 58, of Frankfort, was heading south. Mitchell crossed over the center line and his vehicle struck Moore's, causing Moore to lose control of her vehicle and strike Murray's. The Tacoma and Volvo both overturned, with the Volvo dumping a load of gravel onto the road. All three drivers and a passenger in Murray's car, Kheylen Murray, 4, of the same address, were taken to area hospitals. Mitchell was charged with DUI and operating on a suspended/revoked operator's license. On Sept. 4, a Kentucky EPO was reported violated on South Gratz Street in Midway. On Aug. 28, police made an arrest on Bell Avenue for no registration plates, possession of marijuana and fleeing or evading police. On Aug. 29, police made an arrest on South Main Street for DUI, improper display of registration plates and failure to/improper signal. On Aug. 28, harassing communications were reported on Debra Street. On Aug. 27, vandalism was reported on Ryne Court, with $20 in damage to a mailbox slot. On Aug. 29, a Chevrolet Malibu worth $1,500 was reported stolen on Ryne Court. On Aug. 29, a wallet was reported stolen at a convenience store on Macey Avenue. On Aug. 16, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on Troy Pike that caused $125 in damage. Fire Reports City Firefighters performed 21 EMS assists during the past week. A kitchen fire was extinguished on Bryanwood Drive Aug. 29. Firefighters investigated a report of a natural gas leak on Elm Street Aug. 31. A smoke investigation was undertaken on Elizabeth Street Sept. 3. An oil spill was cleaned from the roadway on Frankfort Street at the U.S. 60 Bypass Sept. 4. County Firefighters performed one EMS assist during the past week. Firefighters responded to vehicle accidents on Leestown Road Aug. 29, on Pinckard Pike Aug. 31, and on Lexington Road at the Blue Grass Parkway Sept. 1. Fire in a stove on Dunroven Drive Sept. 2 was out on the arrival of firefighters.
