Powell wins the 39th annual Oh! Susannah golf tournament

The 39th annual Oh! Susannah golf tournament was held Thursday, Sept. 21, at Moss Hill Golf Course. The event is always a favorite to bring an end to the summer and have a great day of competitive golf. "This is a tournament that has great tradition in this community and ladies continue to come out and support it each year," said Teena Freibert. "I'm a member at Moss Hill and I live across the street so I will keep coming every year." After the round was complete, the ladies had an awards banquet to announce the winners of each bracket as well as the special holes. The room was packed and the ladies all cheered for each other as names were called. "I keep coming back for the people and the friendships," said Marti Sale. "The event is always well run and everyone gets along very well." Moss Hill Golf Course continues to honor the long-standing traditions that were inherited when they took over Woodford Hills Country Club. "Tournaments like this that have such a long history are a big part of our community" said Moss Hill owner Tom Bozarth. "It was gratifying to hear all of the comments about the condition of our course and to be complimented on the improvements that we have made out here this year.
