Police Reports Versailles police responded to eight injury accidents, 13 non-injury accidents and issued one citation/summons. On Sept. 28 at 5:05 p.m., a Nissan Altima driven by Faustina Sanchez, 38, of 229 Clifton Road, was eastbound on Clifton Road while a Harley Davidson FLH ridden by Dennis K. Whitaker, 62, of 544 Hunters Ridge, was westbound. Sanchez said she was waiting for a car to leave the air station at Clifton Market and when it moved, she attempted to turn left into the market. Police say she failed to yield to Whitaker and struck him. Whitaker was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital. Failure to yield and not being under proper control on the part of Sanchez caused the crash, police said. On Sept. 29 at 7:18 a.m., an International Prostar driven by Scott B. Pearson, 64, of Louisville, was eastbound on Military Pike and ran off the right shoulder, went 100 feet and struck a fence. Pearson was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital. Police say his vehicle was not under proper control. On Sept. 29 at 9:13 a.m., a Chevrolet Express driven by Brian K. Stephens, 54, of Corinth, was stopped in traffic on the Blue Grass Parkway. A Toyota Highlander driven by Michael J. McMahon, 46, of 3241 Pisgah Pike, saw a police cruiser with its lights on but failed to stop, striking Stephens's vehicle. Stephens was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital. Police say inattention and not being under proper control on the part of McMahon caused the crash. On Sept. 29 at 4:42 p.m., a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jon-Michael D. Coslow, 24, of Willisburg, was westbound on the parkway when he entered a construction area and congested traffic. He told police he veered his vehicle left into the median and swerved back to the right shoulder before flipping. He was treated at the scene by Woodford County EMS workers. Police say inattention and overcorrecting/oversteering caused the wreck. On Sept. 26 at 9:40 a.m., a Chrysler Pacifica driven by Michaella R. Everman, 18, of 510 Linden Street, was northbound on Pinckard Pike. She told police a deer ran into the road and when she swerved to avoid it, her vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a mailbox and plank fence. She was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital. Police say her vehicle was not under proper control. On Sept. 27 at 9:01 a.m., an Acura RDX driven by Petra T. Dotson, 47, of 131 South Hill Road, was northbound on South Hill Road when her front bumper hit a brick mailbox and the vehicle overturned. She was treated by Woodford County EMS personnel. Police say inattention and not being under proper control caused the wreck. On Sept. 27 at 3:06 p.m., an Infiniti I35 driven by Brandon Johnson, 36, of 912 Delaney Ferry, was eastbound on Carpenter Pike when he lost control of his vehicle, which went off the right side and struck a wire fence and Windstream meter. Police say his vehicle was not under proper control and Johnson was cited for failure to maintain required insurance. He was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital. On Sept. 22, possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was reported at United Bank. On Sept. 28, a 9mm pistol was reported stolen from a home on Dunroven Road. On Sept. 29, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident in the Kroger parking lot. On Oct. 1, a Stihl weed trimmer and blower were reported stolen from a home on Duell Drive. On Sept. 27, a marijuana grinder was reported at Woodford County High School. On Sept. 25, a wallet and camera worth a total of $30 were reported stolen from a home on Amsden Avenue. On Sept. 25, first-degree wanton endangerment was reported at a home on Colony Drive. On Sept. 26, a citation/summons was issued on Montgomery Avenue for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. On Sept. 24, an iPhone 7 was reported stolen from the main branch of the Woodford County Library. Fire Reports City Firefighters performed 31 EMS assists during the past week. Firefighters responded to vehicle accidents on South Hill Road Sept. 27, and on Lexington Road and Clifton Road Sept. 28. An odor was investigated on Park Street Sept. 27. An alarm malfunctioned on Green Street Sept. 27. Smoke from food burning on a stove activated an alarm at Margaret Hall Manor Oct. 1. County County reports were not available this week.
