Living quarters proposed for training center
A hearing has been scheduled for a zone change request to allow a barn with living accommodations for riders using a horse training center on West Leestown Road. The request comes to the Versailles-Midway-Woodford County Zoning Commission at its regular meeting tonight, Thursday, Oct. 12, at 6:30 p.m., in the second-floor courtroom of the Woodford County Courthouse. Because the property at the Franklin County-Woodford County line has been rezoned to residual farmland, applicant 3 Creeks Training Center, LLC, must downzone the property at 4598 West Leestown Road to A-1 (agriculture) in order to have a residential use, Planning Director Pattie Wilson told Technical Review Committee (TRC) members last month. St. Leo, other request An amended development plan, which will allow the addition of a 24-foot-by-30-foot shelter at the St. Leo Parish Life & Education Center (295 Huntertown Road), is scheduled to come before the Planning Commission. If approved, the shelter will provide additional space for church functions, including festivals and fish fries. An amended subdivision plat, also on the commission's agenda tonight, will allow property owners Justin and Holly Branham to create four single-family lots at 182, 184, 186 and 188 Spring Run Road. Three townhouse units were previously approved for the site.
