Cross country teams host 20th annual WCI

The 20th annual Woodford County Cross Country Invitational event took place on Oct. 14 at Falling Springs.

Fifty-six teams from across the state came to Woodford County to compete in the annual event. Runners were treated to a gorgeous fall day and great competition. Kyle Holt and Peter McGowan both finished in the top-50 for the boys' 5K. Katie Gatewood and Katherine Crain finished top-50 for the girls 5K. Maggie Twehues had a top-10 finish in the girls' middle school division and Aiden Zaparanick-Brown had a top-30 in the boys' middle school division.
