Cross country competes in Meet of Champions

Teams spanning the entire state of Kentucky competed in the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association Meet of Champions on Oct. 21 at Masterson Station Park in Lexington. Top finishers were Katie Gatewood, Katherine Crain and Caroline Murray in the girls' 5K and Peter McGowan, Mitchell Scott and Clay Thomas in the boys' 5K. Maggie Twehues and Aiden Zaparanick-Brown were the top finishers for the middle school championships. The Jackets will compete next weekend in the Region 6 AAA Regional championships at George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester.
