George to seek reelection

Woodford County Attorney Alan J. George is seeking re-election to the office of county attorney he has held since 1994. His child support program continues to rank in the top 20 in the state. George helped author Kentucky’s DUI-drugs “per se” law in 2010, and he is the Treasurer for the Kentucky County Attorneys’ Association. . “I believe I have been an effective, firm but fair prosecutor, and that I have provided good counsel to law enforcement officers and county government and agency officials. I will continue to work tirelessly to carry out the many and various duties of this office. It has been my great privilege and honor to be your county attorney, and I would very much appreciate the opportunity to serve another term.” George and his wife, Geri, have two adult daughters, Ashley (Pendleton) and Emily. The Georges are parishioners of St. Leo Catholic Church.
