Police Reports Versailles police responded to one accident involving an injury, 13 non-injury accidents, three domestic-related complaints, issued three citations/summonses and made three arrests. On Nov. 7 at 4:45 p.m., Renee Hammond, 55, of Shelbyville, was driving a Subaru Legacy south on Pisgah Pike. A witness said Hammon was driving mostly in the middle of the road and slower than normal. The witness said when Hammond passed the Woodford County Board of Education building, she drove into a ditch, struck a large tree, spun around and wound up in back in the road. The witness said she “seemed out of it.” Hammond was taken to UK Chandler Hospital. Police say her vehicle was not under proper control. On Nov. 5, power tools worth a total of $2,550 were reported stolen from a home on Shannon Run Road. On Nov. 7, $350.08 in cash was reported stolen from a Lexington Road convenience store. On Nov. 2, a pistol was reported stolen from a home on Ryne Court. On Nov. 6, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident in a Yellow Jacket Drive parking lot. On Nov. 7, a report was filed on Court Street involving the recovery of a stolen 9 mm handgun. On Nov. 5, 1st degree wanton endangerment was reported at a home on Westgate Court. On Nov. 8, a violation of a Kentucky EPO was reported on United Drive. On Nov. 11, Christmas lights worth $80 were reported stolen from a home on Kentucky Avenue. On Nov. 10, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident in a Lexington Road parking lot. On Nov. 9, a trash can with the letters “UK” worth $40 was reported stolen on Adena Trace. On Nov. 9, criminal littering was reported at a farm on Moores Mill Road. On Nov. 9, police issued a citation/summons for possession of marijuana on Rose Hill Avenue. On Nov. 7, police issued a citation/summons on Lexington Road for careless driving, license plate not legible and 3rd degree possession of a controlled substance. On Nov. 9, $160 in cash was reported stolen at the Circle K on Yellow Jacket Drive. On Nov. 10, shoplifting was reported at a store on Lexington Street. On Nov. 11, police issued a citation/summons for rear license not illuminated, no registration plates and failure to produce insurance card. On Nov. 8, police made an arrest on South Main Street for possession of a controlled substance. Fire Reports Versailles Firefighters performed 30 EMS assists during the past week. On Nov. 7, they responded to a fire at the Wok ‘N Go. On Nov. 8, they responded to a fire alarm at Woodford County High School, an unauthorized burning on Betty Court, a possible carbon monoxide leak on Duell Drive and to check a smoke detector on Woodford Village Drive. On Nov. 10, they responded to a possible carbon monoxide leak on Walnut Street and a “lookout” on Gormley Drive. On Nov. 11, they responded to an unknown problem with a smoke detector on Betty Court. On Nov. 12, they responded to a pilot light being off on Berry Avenue. County Firefighters performed four EMS assists during the past week. Firefighters responded to vehicle accidents on Pisgah Pike Nov. 7, and on Nov. 12, on Pinckard Pike, East Leestown Road and Pisgah Pike. A utility pole was down on Dry Ridge Road on Nov. 8 and on Huntertown Road on Nov. 9. A smoke detector was activated at a Juniper Drive residence Nov. 19.
