Emily Jane Montgomery, age 98, widow of Robert Keith Montgomery, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, in Nashville, Tennessee.

She born on November 6, 1919, in Paris, Kentucky, the only child of Clyde and Elizabeth Liter Richard.

She attended Transylvania College, graduated from the University of Kentucky and was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She was a war bride, farmer’s wife, and school teacher and a member of Troy Presbyterian Church in Woodford County. She lived an active and full life, enjoying family, friends and travel. Special thanks to the staff at The St. Paul Senior Living Community, caregivers Rose Weathers, Helen Burns, and Amany Kamel; Jasmine and Melissa with Willowbrook Hospice and Caregivers by Wholecare.

Survivors include her son, Robert Keith Montgomery Jr.(Miriam), Richmond, Virginia; her daughter, Rebecca Montgomery Long (Bill), Nashville Tennessee; five grandchildren, Eric Montgomery (Teresa), Brian Montgomery (Brook), Matt Long (Suzanne), John Long (Lindsley), Emily Long Garry (Dan) and 12 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 25, at 1:00 p.m. followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Versailles Cemetery.
