Goodrich

Brenda Ann James Goodrich, 75, wife of David R. Goodrich, died on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017.

Born on October 21, 1942, in Versailles, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Margaret Snapp James. Brenda retired from Taylor Manor Nursing Home after 45 years of employment. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bud James.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Teresa Smith, Woodford County; a brother, Joe James, Texas; five sisters, Kay Reed, Versailles; Phyllis Watkins, Frankfort; Wilma Burge, Lexington; Barbara Bernard, Florida; Mary Perkins, Frankfort; two granddaughters, Megan Smith and Ashley Strickland, both of Woodford County; five great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Chase and Blake Oberting, all of Lawrenceburg; and Izayah and Drayson Hawkins, both of Frankfort.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, Nov. 29, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Pastor Jeff Douglas of Millville Baptist Church officiated. Honorary Pallbearers were Danny Knox, Timothy Watkins, Marion Dews, Tony Oberting, Edna Knox, and Maegan Moore Winans.
